Snowstorm Expected on Wednesday

A heavy, wet snow is predicted to start early Wednesday morning, which could make the Wednesday morning commute problematic.

Weather forecasters are predicting 6 to 10 inches of snow across most of the Greater Boston area on Wednesday.

The storm will produce heavy, wet snow starting in the predawn hours, meaning the Wednesday commute could be a nightmare. The snow may mix with sleet and rain on Wednesday afternoon. The evening commute won’t be quite as bad as the morning, according to Channel 7’s Chris Lambert.

Most of Greater Boston will get 6-10 inches, but those closest to the coast may get 3-6 inches. However, those along the coast will have to remove an even heavier, wet snow, said Channel 7’s Jeremy Reiner.

Forecasters are saying another large snowstorm could hit the area next weekend, but it’s still too early and the weather pattern could change.
