Construction to Block Northbound Lane of Rockland Street Bridge

Traffic going northbound must use Kingsbury Street bridge detour 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Wednesday, Jan. 8, National Grid will begin work to install a new natural gas line over the Rockland Street bridge. Due to the nature of this work, the northbound lane of traffic over the bridge from the Washington and Forest Street side will be closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily to traffic. Northbound traffic will have to use the Kingsbury Street bridge.

The southbound lane of travel from Rockland/Linden Street will be open to traffic. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

Police officers will be on scene to assist with traffic. The bridge will be fully open at all other times.
