Wellesley Junior Raiders 5th Grade Team Wins NE Regional Championships and heads to Disney for the AYF National Championships

On a bitter cold Sunday afternoon the Wellesley Junior Raiders 5th grade team shut out the Hartford Wildcats to win the NE Regional Championships.  With a score of 18-0 the Jr Raiders completed a 13-0 season that included a round of playoffs against Natick, Framingham, Leominster (to win the State Championship), Cranston RI, and then Hartford CT yesterday.  Thanks to a wonderful coaching staff, smart and determined group of boys, and fabulous family and community support of fans the team has had an amazing season.  The boys will be around town working hard the next 2 weeks to prepare and raise funds for the trip to Disney on December 7th so please give them a high five and your support.
