UMASS AMHERST CELEBRATES 150th ANNIVERSARY WITH PERFORMANCE AT SYMPHONY HALL

Classical, Marching Band, Vocal and Dance Performances by Nearly 600 University Students

As part of its yearlong 150th anniversary celebration, the University of Massachusetts Amherst – the Commonwealth’s flagship campus – will host a special concert at Boston’s Symphony Hall on Friday, October 25th, featuring a variety of music and dance performances. 

Part of a two-day, celebration of the University’s milestone anniversary, Stand for UMass: The Concert will include performances by the University Orchestra, Minuteman Marching Band, Chamber Choir, Wind Ensemble, Saxophone Quartet, Jazz Ensemble I and the UMass Dancers.  Nearly 600 student artists will perform over 20 musical selections, including lively numbers by the University’s beloved Minuteman Marching Band.
