Weston resident and Executive Director of FUEL Education, Gene Miller, presented at the Babson Entrepreneurship Forum in Wellesley, sharing her experience as a leader and a businesswoman who is making a difference by empowering people to strive for higher education.
Entrepreneurial leaders from across the country came together to discuss the latest innovations in their fields, including education, and ideas that could transform society. Miller presented alongside leaders from Harvard Medical School, General Catalyst Partners, and Trip Advisor.
Her presentation focused on FUEL’s game-changing ‘skin in the game model,’ which fully engages the family in the college process, creating informed consumers of higher education and ideally allowing their children to graduate with little to no debt. The program encompasses financial education, curriculum, incentives for savings and a connection to community organizations, creating the foundation for a lifelong understanding of the importance of higher education and how to achieve it.
