Please come join Wellesley United Soccer Club in carrying on the Barefoot Soccer tradition! The weather should be perfect for soccer.
For the fourth summer in a row, hundreds of soccer players of all ages and skill levels are invited to Hunnewell Field in Wellesley to join in the tradition of playing soccer barefoot all day long.
REGISTER NOW FOR AUGUST 17th and 18th 2013!
Here’s a link to the Barefoot Soccer web site: http://conta.cc/1aQXova
You can also register at the field on the day of the event.
Why? To raise money to help prevent the spread of AIDS in Africa through education and soccer.
When? Any time from 8:00 am Saturday, August 17th until 2:00 am Sunday, August 18th.
A miminum donation of $25 per participant gets you an awesome shirt and up to 18 hours of barefoot soccer fun!
All proceeds go to Grassroot Soccer, a charity in Norwich, Vermont that teaches AIDs prevention to African children using soccer to facilitate its educational mission. Grassroot Soccer has educated more than 600,000 African children about AIDs prevention.
This year, for the first time, Positive Tracks has awarded this event a $10,000 matching challenge grant – so the value of your donation will double to help fight AIDs!
