On Friday, May 25, more than 600 Wellesley College seniors walked across the stage, accepted their diplomas, and joined a world-wide network of Wellesley Alumnae. This year's commencement speaker, Melissa Harris-Perry, offered the students advice from sources ranging from famous speakers to children's books to Hip Hop. You can watch her speech here or read it on the Wellesley College Web site.

The women of this year's graduating class are heading out to do incredible things in the world. We will be profiling a handful of seniors on the College's web site over the coming weeks.

Last week we kicked off the series by profiling two students: Dominique Hazzard, a new graduate with a degree in environmental studies who will spend the next six-months at a community organization working on solutions to hunger and homelessness, and May-Elise Martinsen, who studied vocal performance and majored in music and who hopes, five years from now, to have written a full-length musical production that will be showing in theaters.
