Today in Wellesley: Rent, Surveying Buses and More!

Five things you need to know for August 23, 2013 in Needham and Wellesley.

1. There's a slim chance of some isolated storms today, about 20 percent, although the National Weather Service expects that, otherwise, today should be mostly sunny with a high of 82ºF, and tonight will be 55ºF lows and partly cloudy.

2. Of course you want the latest stories in your inbox every day, which is why you have already signed up for the Patch Newsletter. However, perhaps a friend of yours has been asking about it? If they want to sign-up, they can find a link at the bottom of any page on Patch!

3. If you have a vested interest in where the MWRTA's new bus route will run through Wellesley--from Woodlawn station to the Natick Community Center--then perhaps you should give them some input. Head over and fill out the survey on their website

4. While some of the cast may not worry about it for a few years,Wellesley High School is hosting a performance of Rent--the School Edition (which means it's PG-13). The play follows a year in the life of a group of struggling young artists and musicians living in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. Shows are Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m., tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.

5. Wellesley's Blue Ginger is participating in Restaurant Week, and it's halfway over. It began on Aug. 18, and runs through today, then is off for Saturday, and back on from Sunday through next Friday. Restaurant Week offers prix fixe menus for a discounted price: 2-course lunch for $15.13, 3-course lunch for $20.13, and 3-course dinner for $38.13.
