Today in Wellesley: Kids Jams, Hidden Treasures, Get Unleashed and More!

Five things you need to know for August 13, 2013 in Needham and Wellesley.

1. There may be some more rains today. The National Weather Service says there is a 60 percent chance of showers today, and if it's not raining, the skies will be cloudy. There may be an overnight thunderstorm. Otherwise, the highs will be 76ºF and lows a 57ºF.

2. There are always a bunch of great things happening in town, although we don't always know about them. So, if you are having an event, and we haven't heard of it, that may be because it never went on the Events Calendar

3. Drop in for a treasure hunt. The Needham Library is running a craft day today, and the theme is buried treasure. They have enough stuff to make 50 crafts, so come by early, and stay for the coloring sheets.

4. The kids Jam Band is playing Wellesley Library today. Come check out their free show, and their zany musical stylings at 4:30 p.m. The concert is in the library's Wakelin room, and will be followed by a light reception.

5. From 7 to 9 p.m. tonight, the Needham Off-leash Dog Park working group is meeting. So, if you have any burning questions or desires for the park, bring them to Needham Town Hall.
