More About Wellesley High School
Wellesley High School is the educational center for more than 1,000 students. The school was recently honored by US News and World Report as the70th best public high school in the country. The school participates in the state's METCO (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) which invites urban students to attend schools outside of their district.
Noted graduates include Jane Curtin, an original member of the Saturday Night Live cast, rock star Billy Squier and Richard Preston, author of Hot Zone, which was the basis for the movie Outbreak. The school's principal is Andrew Keough, and the school newspaper is The Bradford.
A new school is being built next to the current building, and at the moment, there is no parking for students on the property.
