 ich won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize\, the John Sargent Sr. First Novel Prize
 \, the National Book Critics Circle Award\, the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awar
 d\, and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize. His fiction has appeared in The
  New Yorker\, African Voices\, Best American Short Stories\, Pushcart Pr
 ize XXII and in The O&rsquo\;Henry Prize Stories 2009. He is the recipie
 nt of a MacArthur &ldquo\;genius&rdquo\; award in 2012\, and his most re
 cent work This Is How You Lose Her\, a collection of connected short sto
 ries\, was nominated for the National Book Award.
