  A. Schlesinger\, president of Babson College\, will address local busin
 ess leaders on the important connection between businesses and community
  philanthropy.\nEvent honorees Maureen and Ted English will be recognize
 d for their long-term commitment to philanthropy in MetroWest. They have
  demonstrated their devotion to the region by supporting both the Founda
 tion for MetroWest\, as well as many local nonprofit organizations. As f
 ormer CEO of TJX in Framingham and current CEO of Bob&rsquo\;s Discount 
 Furniture\, Ted is described as a focused\, innovative and compassionate
  person. Ted currently serves on several nonprofit boards and has receiv
 ed numerous awards for commitment to leadership\, education\, and youth.
 \nThe Community Leadership Breakfast will be chaired by John Heerwagen\,
  Chairman\, President &amp\; Chief Executive Officer of Middlesex Saving
 s Bank and trustee of the Foundation.
