Where is the Best Place to Visit on Staycation?

In this week's poll, we ask where the best place to have some fun while vacationing at home is.

Where is the best place around to have some fun while vacationing at home? We're asking our readers to give us the answer in this week's poll.

We've pitted five places from five towns against eachother for this week's matchup, so cast your vote, and have your voice heard.

Morses Pond in Wellesley

Hopkinton State Park in Hopkinton

Fiske's General Store in Holliston

Garden in the Woods in Framingham

The Natick Mall in Natick

Vote in the poll below and be sure to leave comments and reviews on your favorite's directory listings.

Make sure to do all three and not just vote in the poll, as 10 points are awarded to the winner of the poll, eight points to the second place finisher and six points to third place.

Ten points will also be awarded to the business that garners the most positive Patch Places directory reviews, while the second place finisher gets eight points and third place nets six points.

In the event of a tie, the business that receives the most positive comments left on the Patch Readers' Choice contest post will determine the winner. We've posted an attachment with the complete set of rules on the contest post.

Voting, directory listing reviews and comments must be submitted by 9 a.m. on Friday. The winner will be announced at noon on Friday.

Of course the absolute best place to go is where-ever you want to go. No-one should ever willingly nullify the principles this country was founded on - individual freedom or liberty - for any reason, including "saving the environment."

No sunblock or mosquito repellent needed to go to Fiske's to see what's new, and the people are friendlier than the mall.

One of my favorite staycation activities is borrowing a canoe from my neighbor and putting in above the Charles River spillway in South Natick. Right now there is a canoe tucked away in your neighborhood, just waiting for you to ask to borrow it. It's a great way to see Metrowest at a pace of a floating duck!
