Wellesley's Week in Review - April 25 - May 1

Wellesley had some interesting news the final week of April

 

A radio celebrity went live from Wellesley, and Town Hall officials welcomed guests from Pakistan.

On Tuesday, WRKO talk-radio host broadcasted live from the Wellesley Booksmith. He was there promoting his new book, and signing autographs for fans as well.

On Monday, the Town Hall welcomed two public administrators from Pakistan who will be staying in town for the week to see how local government works. They’ll be here through this week.

The Wellesley High School boys’ tennis team took its first loss in three years this week, as they fell to Needham on Wednesday.

The Board of Selectmen did away with the “campus vision” for the Wellesley Community Center at Monday night’s meeting, saying there would not be enough space on the premises.

Wellesley Police on Tuesday morning found that a Dunkin’ Donuts in Wellesley had been broken into. The intruders got in through the drive-thru window, according to police.
