Wellesley Police Seek Three Additional Possible Witnesses in Fatal Crash
The department is asking for the operators of three additional vehicles to come forward who are believed to have driven through the scene of a fatal hit-and-run accident Friday.
Police are looking for the drivers or passengers of three vehicles who may have witnessed Friday’s fatal crash on Weston Road.
The vehicles – a black four-door sedan, a brown or grey car with a roof rack and sun or moon roof (possibly a Toyota) and a small two-door vehicle – passed by the scene of the accident in respective order, according to a joint press statement by the Wellesley Police Department and Norfolk County District Attorney’s office. These vehicles are not believed to be involved in the crash, according to the statement.
Police have interviewed the operator of the “18-wheel dump trailer” that allegedly struck and killed Alexander Motsenigos, 41, who was on a specialized bicycle traveling north on Weston Road, according to the statement. One witness, the driver of a grey Volvo who was the first vehicle to pass by the scene according to traffic video, has been in contact with police.
Police are asking the operators and/or passengers of these three vehicles to call the Wellesley Police Department at 781-235-1212.
Further information on the incident is expected within the coming days, according to the statement.
