Wellesley Police Partnering with Local Dentists to Send Candy Overseas
The Wellesley Police Department along with the Wellesley Dental Group will be collecting candy through the end of the week.
The Wellesley Police Department will be collecting candy through Nov. 9 to send to troops stationed overseas.
The department has partnered with the Wellesley Dental Group, who last year took in 2,500 pounds of post-Halloween candy. The candy will be sent to troops via CarePacks, a non-profit organization which provides soldiers with morale-boosting items and supplies.
The Wellesley Dental Group, owned by Ejaz and Femina Ali, will be accepting candy donations between normal business hours at their office, 5 Seaward Road. Candy donations can be dropped off at the police station 24 hours a day through Nov. 9.

How ironic? Dentist giving candies to our soldiers, what does candy do to their teeth?
