Wellesley Police Get New Deputy Chief
Wellesley Lieutenant Jack Pilecki promoted to deputy chief by Board of Selectmen.
At the Monday night meeting, the Board of Selectmen approved the promotion of a Wellesley Police lieutenant.
His family and members of the Department were present to see Deputy Chief Jack Pilecki receive his promotion. The Selectmen commended Pilecki, and his work with the Board over the years.
Pilecki is a 30-year veteran of the Department, and has served as a court officer and patrolman, and has worked for the last 12 years as a Lieutenant in the Patrol division, according to a video on the police site.
Since 1992, there have been only three other deputy chiefs at the Wellesley Police Department. At the beginning of 2012, Deputy Police Chief William Brooks III left to become the new Norwood Police Chief.
