Super Hunger Brunch Features Ming Tsai
Over $60,000 raised by local diners to help feed those in need around Mass.
It's not every weekend that your brunch helps raise $60,000 to fight hunger--it does during Super Hunger Brunch.
Across 21 restaurants, 1,500 diners chowed down over the weekend, a Greater Boston Food Bank press release said. The $60,000 raised will turn into over 140,000 meals for people in need around Eastern Mass.
A GBFB release announcing the Brunch also noted that Tsai is both a longtime champions of The Greater Boston Food Bank, and served on the Super Hunger Brunch Culinary Committee.

What’s better than a great brunch for a great cause? More than 1,500 patrons gathered last weekend at 21 of the Boston area’s most celebrated restaurants to enjoy a special meal and help raise over $60,000 for The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB). The funds generated by the 31st annual Super Hunger Brunch will enable GBFB to provide more than 140,000 meals for those in need throughout eastern Massachusetts.
According to GBFB President and CEO, Catherine D’Amato, Boston’s food community has a long history of supporting GBFB. “Every year, these fabulous chefs come together to raise awareness and funds for The Greater Boston Food Bank. We are so appreciative of their time, their talent and their generosity,” said D’Amato.
Among the participating restaurants were Blue Ginger in Wellesley, Rialto in Cambridge, Hamersley’s Bistro in the South End, Craigie on Main in Cambridge and CLINK in Beacon Hill.
