Sledding Spots in Wellesley
Now that the snow is here, the hills of Wellesley have become havens for bundled up people and their sleds.
In Wellesley there are several major spots where people sled, here they are in no particular order:
1. Warren Park
This is the runaway favorite for sledders this school vacation week. There were only a few people on top of the hill at Warren Park last week, but after the area got walloped Sunday, droves of children headed to the hill yesterday. The steep, short hill is wide enough to fit many sledders and long enough to make for a great ride - and it's not that difficult to walk back to the top.
Yesterday, a family of five headed to the sprawling Town Hall front yard with sleds in tow. While the family told Wellesley Patch they had been at it for a little while, they said the snow was actually too deep on the property to continue. With the crowds growing at Warren Park, they decided they would try Wellesley College.
3. Wellesley College
While the campus is in winter session, people head to Severance Hill behind the Davis Museum or to Nehoiden Golf Course, both on the campus, for some winter fun. You have to be stealth to find them, but keep your eyes peeled for the brightly colored saucers and you should be fine.
Word is there's a hill near Bates Elementary School on which sledders call home. Kelly Memorial Field, offset from the school on Elmwood Road, is another classic spot to find the sleds.
5. Elm Hill Preservation
There are wide open spaces off Route 16 near the Natick line. The Elm Hill Preservation is a known sledding spot with some sled message boards calling it one of the faster runs in town.
Happy sledding and stay safe out there.

You forgot the classic hill off the middle school parking lot down towards the tennis courts. It's a short fast hill with a nice run-off and the parking is right at the top of the hill.
