Sherr To Make Commencement Speech At Wellesley College

Broadcast journalist to offer graduates advice

Lynn Sherr, an award winning broadcast journalist and alumna of Wellesley College, will give the commencement address at the school tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m.

Commencement will take place at the Wellesley campus on the Academic Quad. Sherr will address approximately 600 members of the Class of 2010 and their friends and families at Wellesley College's 132nd Commencement.

An award-winning correspondent with ABC News' 20/20, Sherr covered investigative reports, national politics and women's issues. She has also reported regularly on NASA Space Shuttle missions. Before joining 20/20, Sherr was a national correspondent for ABC News, which she joined in 1977.

Mira Sethi, 23, of Lahore, Pakistan will deliver the student address. Sethi is majoring in English with a South Asian studies minor. She has contributed to The Wellesley News student newspaper as well as to the July issue of the alumnae quarterly, The Wellesley Magazine. She has written articles for The Daily Times in Lahore and The Indian Express in Delhi and was an editorial intern for the op-ed section of the Indian Express during the summer of 2007. She will work for the Wall Street Journal following graduation.
