Original Story

Just after 8 a.m. this morning, there were reports of a ruptured gas line in the area of 54 Linden St. Buildings in the area are being evacuated.

Reports say the 3/4 inch gas main was dug up and severed.

This is the second such situation in the area, following the explosion in Springfield over the weekend.

In neighboring Weston Monday, a natural gas line break at 201 Newton St. did not lead to any evacuations in the area and was quickly under control.

Wellesley Patch will bring you more information as it becomes available.
