Rte. 9 Driver Arrested, Charged with Driving Without License for 5th Time Since September
The following information was supplied by the Wellesley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Police pulled over a motorist last week because his vehicle’s license plates were obscured, and he was found to have been an immediate driving threat, according to officials.
Austin Ray Gonsalves, 25, of 89 Park St., New Bedford was arrested Nov. 2 on Route 9 after police learned that he had been charged for driving after his license had been suspended four times since September, according to Wellesley Police Lt. Marie Cleary.
Gonsalves' license was revoked and he was considered an “immediate threat,” Cleary said.
Police also found Gonsalves to be in possession of less that one ounce of marijuana and fireworks.
