Drivers on Rte. 128 near Exit 16 on the Wellesley-Newton line were held up by a rollover accident Sunday morning that allegedly left one person dead. 

The accident took place shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday, and early unconfirmed reports indicated that one victim was dead on arrival. Two others were allegedly injured in the accident but were refusing treatment. 

A call to Massachusetts State Police for further detail was not immediately returned Sunday morning.
