The Wellesley Police have confirmed a bank robbery at TD Bank on Route 9.

According to an alert, a bank employee told police an unknown white male, possibly in his 30s, at a height of  5'8" - 6' wearing a light colored fitted baseball hat, sunglasses, a white button down shirt, khaki shorts and boat shoes passed a note to a teller.

The suspect is believed to have taken off west on foot.

A State Police K9 unit is assisting in the search, which is under investigation.
