Police Shut Down Illegal Massage Parlor
The following arrest information was supplied by the Wellesley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Wellesley Police detectives last week arrested a woman who owned a massage parlor that allegedly offered sexual favors in exchange for money.
Detectives arrested Aiying Qiao, 52, Thursday at the parlor – 120 Cedar St. – after an investigation that began July 12 when police noticed a neon sign advertising the business at the location.
Police learned that the business did not have the proper licensure, according to Wellesley Police records clerk Sue Morse.
“They found that it was an illegal massage parlor and that it was prostitution,” she said.
Qiao was charged with prostitution, assisting or promoting prostitution and operating an unlicensed bath house, facial and scalp massage established without a license.
