The following information was supplied by the Wellesley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Framingham Woman Pulled Over for Driving Car with Wrong Plates, Arrested For Driving Without License
A Framingham woman was arrested last week for driving a vehicle with the wrong plates and without a license.
Jamie Nelson, 23, drove past Wellesley Police Officer Matt Farwell, on patrol on Route 9 Feb. 14, when he noticed Nelson’s car’s rear license plate was missing the registration decal, according to Wellesley Police records clerk Sue Morse.
Both license plates affixed to Nelson’s vehicle were reported stolen to the Framingham Police Department, according to Morse. The plates were not assigned to the motor vehicle, Morse said.
Farwell stopped Nelson, who told him the vehicle was her mother’s and she did not know where the registration was. Also, she said she did not have her driver’s license on her.
Upon a routine check of her name and date of birth, Farwell learned Nelson’s driver’s license was suspended in January.
Nelson was charged with receiving stolen property (license plates), attaching plates to a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
Man Arrested on Warrant-Related Charges After Flagging Down an Officer Because Was Lost
A Boston man waived down a Wellesley Police officer Sunday on Route 9 where he was then booked because the officer learned there were warrants out for his arrest.
Roberson Cesar, 24, was walking on a sidewalk on Route 9 Feb. 19 waiving his hands over his head yelling “officer,” according to Morse. Officer Nate Derby, on patrol in the area, stopped to talk with Cesar, who said he was trying to get to Dudley Station and did not know how he ended up in Wellesley.
He gave Derby his identification, and a routine check revealed there were two warrants out for Cesar’s arrest: one from South Boston District Court for two counts of assault and battery, disorderly conduct and trespassing, and another from Waltham District Court for possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute.
