Atlanta Man Arrested for Selling Magazines without Permit
An Atlanta man was arrested for last week.
officer Ronald Poirier was sent to Stanford Road Aug. 22 on a complaint of solicitors in the area. Poirier spotted a man, Damon Taylor, 34, going door to door selling magazines for a company called Worldwide Readers, according to Wellesley Police records clerk Sue Morse.

Poirier asked Taylor if he had a permit from the town of Wellesley, he said no and was arrested, Morse said.
Man Driving Stolen Car Claimed it Belonged to His Brother

A Springfield, Mass. man told officers the car he was driving was reported stolen by his brother before he was arrested.
Jason Lee Torres, 33, was pulled over by officer Matt Farwell on Route 9 Aug. 22 after Farwell learned Torres’ car was reported stolen.
Torres told Farwell that his driver’s license had been suspended and that the car was registered to his brother who reported the car stolen, according to Morse. The vehicle also had not been inspected, Morse said.
Farwell arrested Torres, who was charged with operating a vehicle reported stolen, driving while his license was revoked and driving an uninspected vehicle.
