Police Arrest MBTA Fare Evader
The following information was supplied by the Wellesley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
You can’t ride the MBTA Commuter Rail for free, which one passenger found out the hard way last week in Wellesley.
Maxime H. Richardson, 29, of 35 McLellan St. Apt. #2, Dorchester was arrested and charged with evading a railroad fare at the Wellesley Square Commuter Rail Station Oct. 10.
Richardson paid the fare to ride from Boston to Wellesley, but he told a conductor he wanted to go to Worcester and refused to pay the additional fare, according to Wellesley Police Lt. Marie Cleary.
Richardson then “used profane language toward the conductor and refused to leave the train,” Cleary said. Wellesley Police then took him into custody.
Additionally, there was a warrant out for his arrest for disturbing the peace, according to Cleary.
