POLL: Most Popular Dog Names Of 2011

Post a photo of your fuzzy friend and let us know their name!

Here Bella! Come Here Lucy! Dinner time Molly!

These are the names called out by pet owners these days. Traditional dog names like "Fido," "Rex" and "Fluffy" have in the past years been replaced by some new choices.

According to Veterinary Pet Insurance Co (VPI) and Petfinder.com, a roundup of the most popular dog names in 2011 showed no change over the previous year.

Bella, Bailey, Max, Lucy and Molly were the top 5 most popular dog names. Rounding out the top 10 are Buddy, Daisy, Maggie, Charlie and Sophie.

What's your dog's name? Take our poll, and if it's not on there, add it in the comments. And while you are here - upload a photo of your pet.

Cat owners, no fear, our poll on your pet's name is coming soon!

Clio -- named after the muse of history (not Cleopatra which is what most people understandably assume). I thought of the name years before I got Clio because I had always wanted a dog and felt it was part of my historical destiny to someday have a canine companion.
