Linden Street will be closed between Kingsbury and Rockland streets between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. today.

The Wellesley Police Department issued an alert yesterday to notify the community of the road closure. Department of Public Works crews will be in the area to replace a storm drain on Linden Street at Geraldine Road.

Rockland Street will be closed at Route 9 eastbound and Linden Street will be closed at the Kingsbury Street intersection.

Traffic will not be allowed to pass at Geraldine Drive, according to the alert.

There will be heavy traffic delays in the area, especially between 2 and 3 p.m., the alert says.

The Rockland Street Bridge has been closed for months, which has further contributed to Wellesley’s traffic woes.
