Lacrosse Unlimited will open this week in Wellesley Square.

Store district manager David DeSimone said in an e-mail that the custom lacrosse clothing and gear store will open for business Friday at 55 Central St.

Here are some facts DeSimone provided about Lacrosse Unlimited:

-Started in 1990 ("Always custom since 1990" is a slogan we use since we produce and sell custom dyed heads, custom shorts, custom equipment, tees, socks and other apparel)

-Based out of New York.

-Family owned and operated.

-With Wellesley opening, we will have 26 stores in six states.

The space is the former home of Rosie's Bakery, which closed last spring.

Up the street, Thunder Sports is in liquidating and will soon close.
