Flu season is in full swing, and many people are feeling the affects of colds and the flu. Visit www.flu.gov to learn the difference between colds and flu and what you can do to protect yourself and your family

If you are in need of a flu shot, please contact your primary care physician or your child's pediatrician. Walgreens is offering flu shots to those 18 and older.

The symptoms of the flu are generally worse than that of a cold, and include more severe body aches, tiredness and coughing--according to Flu.gov.

In a blog post, Wellesley dentist Femina Ali writes that, despite 10 times the cases of last season and 18 deaths, the peak of this flu season is yet to come. The CDC recommends immunizations for anyone over the age of 6 months. 

Last week, the City of Boston issued a state of emergency over the flu.
