Fire Renders Cleveland Road Home ‘Uninhabitable’
Wellesley and Weston fire officials knocked down a sizeable house fire on Cleveland Road.
Flames torched the first floor of a house on Cleveland Road tonight, rendering the home uninhabitable.
Wellesley firefighters arrived at 43 Cleveland Road in the 8 o’clock hour find a fire on the first floor of the two-story home, according to Wellesley Deputy Fire Chief Jeffrey Peterson. Two brothers who own the home reported the fire initially.
“We’re doing extensive overhaul,” Peterson said. “Damage is extensive to the home.”
Peterson said the cause is unknown, but it is presumed accidental. The state fire marshal’s office has been called in to do an investigation.
Peterson said there were no injuries, but officials are searching the area for the homeowners’ dog.
