DPW To Perform Roadwork Tomorrow and Friday

The DPW will be working on some town roads through Friday.

The Department of Public Works will be removing asphalt from various town roads in preparation for new paving over the course of the next two days.

According to a Wellesley Police alert, crews will begin work on Hampden St. Thursday at 7 a.m. Once completed, crews will work on Weston Road from Central Street to Washington Street, which is expected to be around noon.

On Friday, the DPW will work on the entire length of Dover Road, the alert says.

Traffic delays are expected, and Wellesley Police officers will be at the sites to direct traffic, according to the alert.

If there is poor weather, the work could be canceled, the alert says.
