5 Things You Need to Know Today: July 29

Five pieces of info to start your Friday off right.

1.    The Wellesley South Little League team will continue pool play in the state finals tonight against Joe Schwartz (Worcester) in Taunton.

2.    …That is, as long as there is a game tonight. The National Weather Service says the temperature will reach 80 degrees today, but there's a 50 percent chance of rain, and maybe some thunderstorms.

3.    We’ll have a story on South’s game last night at some point this morning. Stay with Wellesley Patch for the team’s entire run.

4.    Have you been checking out our Patch Passport series? Here’s the landing page with links to each day’s story. We’ll have new stories through Sunday.

5.    The Board of Selectmen will meet for the first time in two weeks on Monday. Until then, have a nice weekend.
