5 Things You Need to Know Today: 'Groundhog Day' Edition
Will he see his shadow? Will he not? Pretty sure we're looking at six more weeks of winter either way.
"Five Things you Need to Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance. Check back later for more, and let us know what you think of the new feature in the comments section.
1. School is canceled today in Wellesley. It was going to be a half day, but because of the cancellation, it’s a non-day.
2. The town-wide financial plan was unveiled at a meeting of the Board of Selectmen Monday. Wellesley Patch’s story is here. You can now access the plan in all of its power point glory here. It is an extremely detailed document put together by Hans Larsen, executive director of general government for the town of Wellesley.
3. If you’ll notice, the Town of Wellesley’s website has a new interface and new features. Brian DuPont, GIS manager for the town of Wellesley, designed the site and presented it to the Board of Selectmen at the same Monday meeting.
4. Send in your snow photos. But since there’s so much snow, every photo you take will likely be a snow-based photo. We’re looking for photos on par with one taken by Ute Smith yesterday of a large snowman on Linden Street.
5. Happy Groundhog Day, Wellesley!
